The TWMC held this meeting at the U.S. Geological Survey in Austin on February 3, 2000. The meeting was well attended.

Attendees:

The meeting was called to order by Cindy Loeffler.

Patrick Roques was elected Chair. Ronn Brock was elected CO-chair.

Fee schedule for the next Congress was discussed. It should get more expensive as the meeting date approaches.

Topics and plans for the next Congress were discussed, including:

• Corps of Engineers' initiative in water monitoring,
• Integrated suite information for emergency of actions
• Data availability, links make data accessible and useable.
• Data importance and the upcoming legislative sessions.
• Invite representatives and senators,
• Include federal agency staff.
• Public Outreach - data liability issues and how that affects data availability or collection.
• Field issues - field manual, methods, etc. A good place to start will be the data collection network discussions from the last meeting.
• Vendors are available on the back page of AWWA. Congress and vendors payment will be discussed at the next meeting.
• Earth Day email with attached files explains details for this upcoming event.
• TxWIN will assist TWMC in the next monitoring congress.

Meeting adjourned at noon. Next meeting scheduled for March 9, 2000 at USGS Bldg. at 10:15 A.M.
